This policy explains how Dust Em Vintage handles information when you visit dustemvintage.com, contact us, send garment photos, or discuss a purchase with us.
Who to contact
Jesus Ojeda operates Dust Em Vintage as a sole proprietor. Dust Em Vintage is an independent vintage and antique clothing buyer based in the Los Angeles area, buying throughout the United States. For a privacy question or request, email contact@dustemvintage.com or call (323) 301-3593.
Information we receive
- Inquiries: your name, email address, phone number, general location, messages, and any other details you choose to provide by form, email, phone, or text.
- Clothing and photos: garment descriptions, quantities, condition, labels, asking prices, photographs, and any personal information visible in a photo or included in its file metadata.
- Agreed purchases: correspondence, agreed items and prices, verification photos if needed, payment confirmations, and shipping or pickup details. A payment provider may process additional information under its own policy.
- Website use: hosting and security services may process IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, referrers, and access times. If you allow optional Analytics, Google also processes usage information described below.
Please avoid including faces, identification documents, account passwords, full payment-card details, or unrelated private information in messages or photos. Crop out addresses and other personal details when they are not needed. You do not need to send a precise address to make an initial inquiry.
How we use information
We use inquiry information to respond, evaluate clothing we may buy, discuss a price, and arrange verification, payment, shipping, or pickup when appropriate. We also use relevant records to maintain purchase and accounting records, resolve questions or disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Website-use information helps operate and protect the site. Optional Analytics helps us understand which pages people use and whether they choose a contact option. A contact click does not tell us whether a call connected or a text was sent.
Contacting us about clothing is not a subscription to promotional messages. We will ask separately before using your contact details for promotional email or text campaigns. Sending a photo for review does not give us blanket permission to publish it or your personal details.
Who receives information
Information is processed by the providers needed for the contact method or transaction you choose:
- Website and business email: Hostinger hosts the site and business email. Messages sent to our business email are forwarded to the owner's Yahoo Mail inbox, with copies retained in the business mailbox.
- Website photo form: FormSubmit receives the fields and files you submit and sends the inquiry to our business email. Its spam check may involve Google's reCAPTCHA service. See FormSubmit's privacy terms and Google's privacy policy.
- Calls, texts, and email: the relevant telephone, messaging, device, and email providers process those communications.
- Website measurement: Google Analytics receives measurement information if you allow it.
- Purchases: agreed payment services, shipping carriers, and professional advisers may receive the details needed to process a purchase, shipment, accounting matter, or legal obligation.
We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, protect legal rights, or respond to a legal claim. We do not sell personal information or disclose it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Providers may process information in the United States or other countries under their own privacy practices. Following a link to Instagram, Google, a payment service, or another site takes you to that service. Its policy governs the information you give it.
Cookies and Google Analytics
Optional Google Analytics is off until you accept it. You can decline it and continue using the site, calling, texting, or sending an inquiry. Use here or in the footer to change your choice on this browser.
If allowed, Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to measure page visits, referring sources, approximate location, device and browser characteristics, and actions such as selecting call, text, or email links. Google receives network information when its services are contacted. Google says Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses. We configure our tag to disable Google signals and advertising personalization signals.
Our custom Analytics events do not include inquiry names, email addresses, phone numbers, message text, photos, or filenames. We retain recognized campaign parameters for attribution while excluding arbitrary query values from the page addresses we send.
Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We store your privacy choice and its date in this browser for up to six months. If storage is unavailable, your choice may last only for the current page. When Analytics is enabled, a temporary session-storage entry helps distinguish a recent form-provider return from a direct visit to our thank-you page. It does not contain your inquiry or prove delivery.
Declining Analytics does not block hosting security logs or the services required when you submit a form or contact us. FormSubmit's separate spam-check page may use its own cookies. Browser settings can also restrict cookies; those settings may affect third-party services.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
If this browser sends a recognized Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, our site keeps optional Google Analytics off, even if you previously accepted it here. These signals do not stop the processing needed to deliver a page, send an inquiry, or complete an agreed purchase. Third-party pages you choose to open have their own controls.
Retention and security
We keep inquiry and purchase information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including follow-up, purchase records, accounting, legal obligations, fraud prevention, and resolving disputes. The time depends on the type of record and whether it relates to a completed purchase. Provider systems and backups may have separate retention schedules.
The website uses HTTPS. No online service, email account, or text message system can guarantee complete security. Please contact us if you believe you sent sensitive information by mistake or if you have a security concern.
Your requests and choices
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion by email or phone using the contact details above. Tell us enough to locate your correspondence. We may need to verify that a request is yours before disclosing or changing records. Do not send an identification document unless we first discuss a suitable verification method.
We may need to retain some records for a completed transaction, accounting, legal obligations, security, or a dispute. We will explain any applicable reason we cannot fulfill a request. Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights to access, receive a copy, correct, delete, or restrict certain uses of your information. We will handle applicable requests and appeals as required by law, without unlawful discrimination.
You can ask us to stop further inquiry follow-up. We may still need to communicate about an agreed transaction or a legal matter. Changing a browser choice does not remove records already received; contact us separately about those records.
Children's information
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.
Changes to this policy
We will post changes on this page and update the date above. For a material change in how we use personal information, we will also place a notice on the website and provide any additional notice or choice required by law before applying that change.
